Georgian Bay has inspired artists for decades. Its fantastic distant-island shapes surrounded by impossibly bright reflected-sunlight, rock formations, and wind-sculpted white pines all make for breath-taking views.
While painting on Georgian Bay in the fall of 2018, I started painting some of these on location, and others I finished on location.
Georgian View, 16x20, $750, framed. On location....I climbed up to this rock look-out with all my painting gear (a feat!)...and was treated to amazing, almost blinding, afternoon light shooting across the water. This makes for really great painting...to witness light like like that is a gift.
Georgian Dusk, 12x24, framed, $750. On location. A magical pine statue remains atop this high rocky plateau, basking in the late afternoon dusky light.
